What database information is captured by the system? The RR Enterprises Subscriber Management System is the only system in the world with three parallel relational databases, the Subscriber, the Unit and serialized Inventory Items.
Subscriber Database
The Subscriber Database retains all subscriber information, no matter where they have lived, with unlimited history. Their entire credit history, all work orders, all work orders, all service calls, all special notes, every address where the subscriber has ever lived while on the cable system, is permanently retained by the System, nothing is ever purged. If the subscriber relocates and five years later moves back into the area, the System will still know everything about them.
CSR’s can reach the subscriber data screen many ways, depending on what information is available: from the subscriber’s full or partial name, spouses name, address, telephone number, account number, tag number, inventory item s/n, credit card number, drivers license or other ID’s, even from a special billing name or address. If a unique match is not found, the System will display a screen, listing all subscribers, beginning with the name entered. The correct name can then be selected from the screen if in fact the person is already a subscriber.
This allows the Customer Service Representative to quickly review all the data the system maintains for each subscriber, while the subscriber is on the phone. Your CSR’s will never again have to put a subscriber on hold to check the archives it’s ALL on-line and instantly available.
All subscriber data is permanently retained. All credit history, all work orders, all service calls, all special notes, all inventory items, every unit where the subscriber ever lived on the cable system all are instantly available with a keystroke, whether or not the subscriber is active! This includes special billing names, addresses, special notes everything. If the subscriber relocates and ten years later moves back into the area, the system will still know everything about them. No data is ever purged.
Unit (Service Address) Database
The Unit Database (Address) retains all information regarding the unit. As is the case for Subscriber inquiries, all information about the unit, no matter who has ever lived in the unit, is permanently retained. Because of these two databases, it is possible to build a database including all apartments in a specific apartment building, whether active or not, without the need to create phantom subscribers, as in competitive systems that only utilize a subscriber database. The ability to load homes passed into the database, as a potential subscriber, is another feature of our software.
The unit inquiry screen allows the CSR to review all the data the System has for a particular unit by keying in the address or tag number. If there is no specific unit on file, the System will display a screen, listing all units, beginning with the address entered. The correct unit can then be selected from the list if the unit exists in the system. The unit can also be accessed through the subscriber inquiry screen.
The CSR can quickly review all the data the system maintains for each unit. The System permits a search on all work orders, all service calls and the plant information identified for the unit.
All unit notes, all directions to the subscribers house, all work orders, all service calls, every subscriber who has lived at this address, all are instantly available with a single keystroke.
Inventory Database
With the high cost of addressable digital boxes, cable modems, EMTA devices etc., complete control of serialised inventory is essential. Our Inventory Database automatically tracks all serialized inventory items such as decoders and descramblers using customer defined status codes. Unlimited notes can be entered about any item.
Upon arrival at your docks of a shipment of inventory items, all inventory removed from the truck can be scanned and compared against the inventory manifest data. Any discrepancies will be immediately indicated. The System will always keep track of all inventory status, in repair, in the warehouse, in the office, the technician’s trucks and of course, at the subscriber’s house. The user can remove items from the System and add or exchange subscriber inventory as necessary. The initial inventory data can be entered several ways, including via bar code scanning. The System can also update multiple boxes simultaneously.
Inventory Locking
The RR Enterprises Subscriber Management System design provides a Subscriber, Unit (location) and Inventory databases Inventory Locking feature. The System locks the subscriber, unit and the inventory item together providing a totally secure system to the cable operator. With this feature, the subscriber can only receive those services for which they are paying. We are the only SMS system in the world that can offer this feature.
